Bastar

Bastar, a tribal district in Chattisgarh, is rich in natural resources. The soil is rich with ores. Forests line either side of the main road that leads to Bastar. Several artisans’ communities live here. Agriculture and crafts are the main occupation of the people. Simple folks go on with their daily chores despite the presence of Naxal activists in and around their villages. Tourism is yet to catch up with this place though the government agencies and NGOs are doing their best to promote tourism in the state. However, whoever visits this place once would never forget the beauty of the land and its people.
